Interviews and observations were conducted with ten new users of varying expertise in cycling and equipment rentals. They were tasked with accumulating everything they needed for a mountain bike rental.

After analyzing the user research, we identified three areas for improvement: clarifying damage insurance options, aiding product choices, and simplifying technical jargon.

Although Endless Biking offers more than rentals, the rental process constitutes the majority of the daily operations. The original website required users to begin the rental process within the Rentals page, but we proposed adding a homepage section that could capture key information and streamline entry into the rental process.

We developed visual depictions of terrain types and linked them to specific bikes. These visuals aim to clarify which bikes are suited for what terrain. The illustrations with the wheels was the end result.
